It’s been a crazy year for everyone, and we could all use a little extra love this season …Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to share it! Making Valentine’s Day cards is a fun activity that you can do solo or with your family and friends! There are numerous ways to create a handmade card, but we’ve listed a few ideas to get you inspired below:
1. Layers
This is one of our favorite ways to design a personalized Valentine’s card. Create a layered effect by pasting either a smaller card onto a larger card, placing cut out images on paper, or even pasting different textiles, such as ribbons or a piece of cardboard, to create an impressive 3D effect.
2. As a Fancy Façade
Create a cardboard box and embellish it with some cutout hearts of various colors and textures. Be sure to express yourself with a few words on a personalized card and fill the box with some of your favorite Valentine’s Day candy!
3. Send a Sweet Treat
Make a batch of your favorite sugar cookies and decorate them with some hearts or a message of your choosing. The receiver is sure to enjoy the delicious treat, along with your meaningful message!
4. One Card Isn’t Enough
If you have too much to say, consider sending a card along with a photo album or scrapbook with all of your favorite shared memories. Make sure to decorate the scrapbook with ribbons or heart stickers in honor of the holiday!
