The 2022 school year is in full swing, and we know how stressful that can be for parents and guardians. The good news is that there are ways to maximize your manufactured home’s efficiency in regards to the school season. Not only will this help kids get back into a routine, but it will help relieve guardians of stress too.
1. Create a Space for Homework and Homeschooling:
If you have an extra room in your manufactured home, consider adapting it to be a homework or homeschool room for your kids. It will provide them with a productive environment where they can focus and learn. Consider small desks for each child, so they have their own dedicated work space.
2. Get Creative with Home Automation:
If your manufactured home is automated with smart technology, it can be used to set up effective routines for kids. Wake them up with their favorite song, set up homework reminders or plan a whole daily routine. This is a fun way to motivate your children into sticking with their routine for the school year.
3. Take Advantage of Your MudRoom:
If you have a mudroom in your manufactured home, take advantage of it for the school year. Not only is it a great place for coats and shoes, but it can be beneficial to the organization of your home. Encourage your kids to leave their backpacks in designated spots in the mudroom so they are easy to locate when you’re in a hurry in the mornings. A homework chart or whiteboard is another great way to get the full benefits of your mudroom. This can help kids keep track of their assignments, chores and other activities throughout the school year.
4. Don’t Skip Out On Your Own Education:
If you’re someone who is going back to school, furthering your education or even just taking workshop classes, it’s important to set yourself up for success just as much as kids. Some ways to do this are to set up a dedicated studying space, set up smart routines, and arrange lighting to be the least harsh in your study space. It’s also important to have a dedicated relaxation space in your manufactured home, which is just as important as studying.
5. Take Back Your Home Office.
Now that summer is over, it’s time to take back your space in the house. Put away summer toys and place school equipment in designated areas. Creating a space where you can work is just as important as creating a homework room for kids. Glam up your office with cozy fall furniture or cute and fun accessories to boost productivity. Not only will you be more relaxed and productive, but it sets a great example of how to take care of a workspace for any kids in your life.
